Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy techniques improve the function of the fluid system in our body. Flow can be impeded by many things including injuries, traumas and surgeries. LDT is helpful for strengthening the immune system, reducing edema or inflammation, improving circulation, range of motion, digestion and breathing. It is beneficial for weight loss, detoxification, sleep and nervous system disorders, joint pain, and post surgical issues.

The most common part of the circulatory system involves the heart pumping the blood throughout the body, but there is another part that is equally as important, the lymphatic system. It works in conjunction with the cardiovascular system collecting excess fluid from tissues, cleaning the blood of debris and impurities and carries important information throughout the body.

Sometimes our lymph system can become challenged through poor diet, hormonal changes, injury, surgery or structural issues. When this happens we may experience additional fluid as arthritis, weight gain or swelling. Lymphatic Drainage techniques are a gentle yet effective means to increase function in areas where the lymph may not be flowing as well it could be.

LDT is a clothed therapy. The client relaxes on a comfortable massage table in a calm, quiet room. Clients are encouraged to wear loose comfortable clothing.
